Our Commitment

As a family business, Parkers are passionate about sustainability, and we are constantly looking for ways to reduce or neutralise our environmental impact.

Since 2022, electricity usage on our premises has been reduced by >80% by replacing all lights with high-efficacy LED luminaires and by the decommissioning of three-phase refrigeration equipment. Electricity is now supplied on a 100% renewable energy tariff by Octopus Energy.

Also, since 2022, all delivery vans have been replaced with high-efficiency EURO6 ULEZ-compliant ones. This, along with more efficient route planning, has reduced transport CO₂ emissions by over 60%.

If you have any questions or require any information, please contact us, we’d love to chat.

Responsible Chain Supply

We procure all produce as locally as possible, and wherever practical we collect directly from the suppliers’ premises as part of our regular delivery routes.

Fleet

Since 2024 we have run fully electric cars, which emit zero CO2 at the tailpipe, and have successfully trialled electric vans, which we believe can complete the majority of collections and deliveries, so we will be investing in these from later in 2026.

Recycling & Waste Reduction

Packaging use is kept to a minimum [by completing collections and deliveries on our own vehicles]. All incoming packaging waste (cardboard cases and pallet wrapping) is recycled.
